Use the following code when you book: "NSMOVEYOU2" This is a creative and judgement free online workshop for movement professionals who would like to explore how their nervous system can support their movement practice. After a basic introduction to the physiological responses of our nervous system states we will use a variety of somatic techniques to help our nervous system settle and come into balance. As we begin with basic floor work we continue to pay particular attention to the concepts of gravity and antigravity in order to maintain an expansive and authentic movement experience. You may find yourself shift into a more calm and deeply connected state as your body's soft tissue begins to soften. We will cycle through slow and settling as well as more energetic activities with plenty of moments of stillness too, to continue to resource ourselves and our nervous system for the more challenging movements. As you are meeting your body's habitual patterns of constriction and excessive reliance on muscle strength you will have the opportunity to give space and time to allow your improved nervous system state to guide you into a more free and effortless movement experience that is less jarring on your body and feels deeply and authentically you. Requirements for this workshop: This workshop is for movement professionals, such as teachers or students of Pilates, Yoga, Dance, Personal Training or Gym Instructing. However anyone who feels reasonably confident in an intermediate level movement class is welcome too. While there will be lots of gentle movements, moments of stillness and generally a sense of not pushing yourself, this is a two hour movement workshop and you might feel thoroughly exercised at the end of it. This workshop requires you to be able to weight-bear on your hands and knees, and to lie in and move through various lying positions. Therefore it may not be suitable for you if you are pregnant or dealing with injuries. However you are still welcome to participate in what ever way you feel safe to. You will also need a reasonable amount of space in order to roll around, stretch out on the floor and move around your space. You may want to have a variety of surfaces ready available. A non stick floor would be most beneficial, however you may also want to have a carpet or mat that makes the floor softer to roll around on.
Payments for Private Sessions and Group Classes are not refundable. Private Sessions: Private Sessions can be rescheduled, as long as 24 hour notice is given. Rare unforeseeable circumstances may cause cancellation of a session. In this case we will reschedule the session to a day and time that suits you. Classes: Unfortunately Kristin cannot refund you for classes you have missed as part of a block booking of group classes. However recordings of the online classes can be accessed for 5 days after the live class. Rare unforeseeable circumstances may cause cancellation of a class. You will either be refunded for the missed session or you can transfer your booking to another class.
