Somatic Pilates

Service Description

There will be no class on the 28th of March and 11th of April. This 50 minute Pilates class is a most holistic movement experience, as you will be working with your body as well as your felt sense and mind. The focus will be on reconnecting with the ground and ourselves. This will allow us to get back in touch with organic and instinctive movement patterns, that we can explore playfully within the Pilates repertoire. As a result you may find that you move more effortlessly, healthily and freely. This kind of movement practice will also help your nervous system regulate, making you feel calmer and more at ease in your body. Of course this in turn reduces tension and pain and enables you to feel more mobile, capable and strong. This class is suitable for a variety of ability levels and you may indulge in relaxing mobilizations, enjoy flowing movements and, or playfully challenge and advance your physical competence. Precautions: - If you are suffering from a condition or injury that means your movement ability or energy levels are extremely restricted. - if particular movements may be harmful to you, - if mindfulness and embodiment makes you uncomfortable or triggers anxiety, please contact Kristin before booking, as another class or a private sessions may be a better way for you to move forward with at this point.
